Description
-This fragment of an 18th century tapestry in wool and silk shows a window opening onto a mountainside, with a stream in the foreground animated by two pheasants.
-The succession of planes has been studied to give a beautiful effect of depth. The composition is legible, harmonious and very pleasing to the eye. The overall effect is one of being in the middle of nature, overlooking a valley.
-This tapestry is partially lined and can be easily fixed with hooks.
-Good condition. Some restorations are to be noted.
